The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) designs, tests and manufactures large diesel and natural gas engines that not only power Caterpillar machines but also power many other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives.

LPSD is seeking a Finance Director located in Griffin, GA or Lafayette, IN. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead financial partnership for our 27-32L Cat brand Engines, large Perkins brand engines, and MWM brand engines. You will provide counsel and support for all aspects of the operations and product management functions, directly supporting the VP of those functions. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop a global team, supporting facilities and product groups in each Tri sphere.

What You Will Do:

  • Managing all aspects of financial support and execution in partnership the VP

  • Coordinate across functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and be able to translate key messages and insights to senior stakeholders.

  • Provides analysis and insight to assist leadership in optimizing costs and outcomes

  • Participate in strategy development and decision making to optimize future outcomes

  • Present and be active in discussion with senior leaders of the division

What You Bring (Skills & Experiences):

  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

  • Organizational Governance: Knowledge of the processes, customer, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies.

  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

  • Stakeholder Management: Expert level ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and engaging with them to achieve objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience desired

  • Previous manufacturing finance or accounting experience desired

  • Previous experience leading global teams desired

  • Ability to operates as a true business partner, including building strong relationships and partnering across functions to help drive the business

  • Superior communication and influencing skills

Summary Pay Range:

$185,400.00 - $278,160.00
