Job Duties:
- The CSS Accountant/Fiscal Analyst performs professional accounting duties and maintains accounting records, reviews and analyzes financial transactions, reports financial information for external and internal agency requirements, and supervises accounting employees.
- Performs job delivery and/or performance with positive or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, the public, and co-workers as an integral requirement.
- Applies and supervises the application of the principles of accounting theory to alter and maintain an accounting system and develops methods for recording and monitoring financial transactions. Analyzes Child Support and Public Assistance to determine that child support collections were allocated in accordance with Federal and State Child Support guidelines based on PRWORA and DRA legislation requirements.
- Evaluates assigned programs and assists in developing program performance standards.
- Reviews and analyzes information contained in financial institution files for validity and accuracy.
- Reviews operating procedures to determine that sound internal safeguards are in place and working.
- Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty or services as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A High School Diploma and five (5) years of financial experience.
An Associate Degree and three (3) years of financial experience.
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration.
A Bachelor's Degree in any field and one (1) year of financial experience.
