Project Cost AnalystResponsibilities + Coordinate project cost analysis and controls for team activities supporting Project Managers and other staff. + Oversee cost reporting for multiple projects and monitor project budgets to ensure accurate depiction of project costs. + Input budgets within corporate systems and provide ongoing forecast updates and variance analysis at program and project levels. + Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and collaborate with project teams to implement project management best practices. + Develop partnerships with internal and external customers and communicate effectively. + Create work orders and coordinate with external contractors and vendors to integrate them into the overall project budget and schedule. + Coordinate project meetings and support project documentation and planning. + Prepare forecasts of project spending, cash flows, and budget variance monitoring. + Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) activities and provide input to annual budget capital forecasts and improvement requisitions. + Create project breakdown structures and perform estimate vs. actuals analysis. + Perform departmental organizational functions to ensure smooth project operations. + Assist in the contracting process, including bidding activities and cost analysis. + Communicate with project team resources and stakeholders on budgetary items. + Apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems and develop solution techniques. + Develop and compile measurable KPIs. + Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and customers to resolve issues and implement action plans. + Adhere to project management organizational standards and assist in managing projects to those standards. + Coordinate work activities within the team or with external contractors as required. Essential Skills + Minimum of one year of qualified experience with a Bachelor's degree or three years of qualified experience with an Associate's degree. + Qualified degrees in Business, Construction Management, or Project Management from an accredited institution. + Utility-specific operations knowledge and experience. + Proficiency in cost tracking, analysis, forecasting, and project budgets. + Experience with accounting principles and project management. + Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and accuracy. + Basic technical knowledge and effective communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Exposure to corporate accounting and project cost management systems. + Familiarity with construction environments, earned value management, and scheduling systems is preferred but not required. + Ability to manage time effectively and collaborate well with others. + Understanding and supporting company policies, values, and principles. + Strong customer service attitude and desire to meet internal and external customer needs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
