Financial Services Representative

Immediate opening for a Financial Services Representative to receive and respond to incoming customer/ broker/ agent/ government agency inquiries. This position required the successful candidate to perform both customer service support and processing related taks. This is a hybrid position, located in Columbus, Ohio. Local candidates preferred.

salary: $18.99 - $19 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, agency/brokerage force, service centers, internal/external sales support and other industry companies.
• Reviews and processes routine applications, registrations, contracts, and/or appointments and maintenance requests consistent with approved standards and practices.
• Assists in implementing customary changes in insurance licensing requirements based on changes in laws, regulations, or company policies.
• Maintains database's and related background information and files for assigned states, operation, and/or distribution channel.
• Updates and distributes licensing/appointment requirements and procedures manuals.
• Assists internal and external customers on the licensing requirements and registration process, furnishing materials, and submitting forms and fees to state department of insurance and/or other regulatory agencies.

Must Haves:

• High school diploma is required. Undergraduate studies are desirable.
• Three years work experience with two years product-related customer service work experience preferred.
• General office practices, customer service, and office equipment.
• Information systems and insurance/financial services industry practices (i.e. annuities, mutual funds) preferred.
• Basic mathematics, familiarity with office filing systems and record keeping procedures, and problem-solving techniques
